The Progressive Group, a Patrick Industries company, is the leading audio/visual distribution group in the U.S. offering high end audio products in the OEM, RV, Marine, UTV, Motorcycle, Automotive, Manufactured Housing and Industrial Industries. The Progressive Group is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to add to their growing team. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by building upon an already established book of business and maintaining relationships with customers and Patrick’s internal operations teams, following-up on potential sales leads, growing and managing your book of business, attending trade shows, conducting cycle counts onsite at our existing customers and calling upon potential customers

Work from Home: up to 25%

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Travel throughout territory to establish and manage strategic-level relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to grow the customer base and increase profitable sales.
  • Negotiate directly with customers to secure business and anticipate customer needs to provide best in class customer solutions.
  • Generate quotes and find the best products for customer needs.
  • Review billing directly with client and obtain approval of all charges
  • Participate in on-site and off-site visits with prospective customers as well as pre and post event meetings.
  • Continue to develop and refine sales strategies to meet and exceed company sales targets.
  • Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within the industry and organization.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape through ongoing market research.
  • Provide actionable insights and feedback to the operations and product development teams to enhance product offerings.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product line, features, and benefits.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to ensure proper usage and satisfaction.
  • Offer technical support and guidance on product maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Give valuable input to forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans by dealer.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Update Zoho CRM for goal tracking and E-marketing effectiveness.
  • Team with Inside Sales Staff to facilitate orders.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and other promotional activities to enhance our market presence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in Sales or Sales related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Qualified candidates must be willing to travel within their region; including local travel and overnight travel as needed
  • Ability to quickly adapt and embrace challenge and change
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and a heightened sense of urgency
  • Stringent attention to detail, policies, and procedures
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, both oral and written; is clear, concise, sincere and persuasive
  • Demonstrates creativity and initiative in capturing new business

  • Flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule (night, weekends, early mornings) as needed to meet customers
