AIA Countertops, a Patrick Industries company, is a fabricator of solid surface, granite and quartz countertops, backsplashes, tables, and other products to the Residential, Commercial, RV and Marine industries. AIA Countertops is seeking an HR Manager join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the leadership team, the HR Manager plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting HR functions across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the VP of Group Operations, this role requires a strong floor presence to engage daily with production team members while balancing the needs of both the organization and its employees.
Key responsibilities include
- Oversee the onboarding process, including conducting new hire orientations and facilitating a smooth transition for all new hires.
- Source, recruit, and hire candidates through innovative and traditional strategies, collaborate with corporate and pillar recruiting support as needed.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate job descriptions in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
- Support managers and supervisors with employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts while ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Lead programs focused on reducing turnover, fostering talent development, enhancing employee engagement, and conducting related training initiatives.
- Support leadership to develop and execute talent strategies, with a focus on internal talent development and succession planning.
- Ensure accurate time and attendance tracking and oversee payroll processing for the business units.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and provide guidance on using electronic self-service tools.
- Maintain employee files and ensure timely and accurate data entry into the HRIS for new hires, changes, and terminations.
- Monitor attendance records and issue disciplinary notices as needed in alignment with company policies.
- Promote compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations in all HR processes and documentation.
- Promote and lead activities that drive employee engagement and reinforce the organization’s performance-based, customer-first culture.
Qualifications:
- BA in Human Resources, business, or related field desired
- 5+ years’ of progressive Human Resources experience; Manufacturing Industry experience strongly preferred
- Multi Site HR experience will be considered a strong plus
- Qualified candidates must be open to local travel, and overnight travel on a quarterly basis
- The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, discrete, and possess the ability to manage confidential information while balancing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills; Bilingual Spanish will be considered a plus
- Candidates must have a dynamic personality with the ability to work and communicate effectively with hourly employees to senior management
- Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to provide strong execution of detailed departmental functions including paperwork
- Proven ability to create and sustain change
- A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
- The ability to produce innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the Business Unit’s daily functions
- The ability to work independently in a busy environment with changing daily priorities
- Strong accountability and follow-through skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite 2016 – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publishe
