Responsibilities and Duties

  • Travel throughout the eastern half of the USA to establish and manage strategic-level relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to grow the customer base and increase profitable sales.
  • Work with customers to secure business and anticipate customer needs to provide best in class customer solutions.
  • Generate quotes and find the best products for customer needs.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site visits with existing and prospective customers as well as pre and post event meetings.
  • Continue to develop and refine sales strategies to meet and exceed company sales targets.
  • Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within the industry and organization.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape through ongoing market research.
  • Provide actionable insights and feedback to the operations and product development teams to enhance product offerings.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product line, features, and benefits.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to ensure proper usage and satisfaction.
  • Offer technical support and guidance on product maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Give valuable input to forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Team with inside office personnel to facilitate orders.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and other promotional activities to enhance our market presence.
  • Visit the main office and or Patrick Industries offices as necessary to enhance connectivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in Sales or Sales related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Qualified candidates must be willing to travel within their region; including overnight travel as needed.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and embrace challenge and change.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and a heightened sense of urgency.
  • Stringent attention to detail, policies, and procedures.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, both oral and written; is clear, concise, sincere and persuasive.
  • Demonstrates creativity and initiative in capturing new business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude that is employee, customer, and company forward.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule as needed to meet customer’s needs.
