Our Fiberglass Business Group is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Group Manager to add to their growing team. The EHS Manager will report directly to the Group Vice President and will assist all the Business Units, in the Fiberglass Group, in fostering a strong EHS culture. The Group EHS Manager is responsible for providing guidance to multiple Business Units within the organization to assist with the development of a strategic direction for EHS initiatives that mitigate associated risks. This person will be working with environmental compliance approximately 60% of the time and safety compliance 40% of the time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Compliance and Regulatory Management
- Ensure all locations comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential risks and ensure compliance at each site.
- Manage environmental reporting, permitting, and documentation related to environmental and safety regulations.
EHS Program Development and Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures tailored to each location’s operations.
- Establish strategic goals and objectives to reduce risk
- Track and monitor EHS key performance indicators on a routine basis.
- Lead safety committees and facilitate regular safety meetings across sites.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with site leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Training and Employee Engagement
- Design and maintain an EHS training matrix.
- Conduct EHS training programs for team members and management.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all locations.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for various work environments.
- Identify and implement proactive measures to reduce workplace injuries and environmental hazards.
- Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills at all locations.
Environmental and Sustainability Initiatives
- Oversee air permit, waste management, hazardous material handling, and sustainability efforts.
- Manage all environmental reporting obligations.
- Promote initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with air and water quality regulations, waste disposal requirements, and sustainability goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. EHS experience, in lieu of a degree, may be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management role, preferably overseeing several locations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
- Ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels.

- Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
