Job Title: Supervisor

 

Reports to: Plant Manager

                             

Percent of Time: On Site: 100%

 

Job Summary: 

The Fiberglass Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the fiberglass manufacturing facility.  This role ensures that production goals are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.  The Supervisor leads and directs production teams, monitors quality, and promotes a culture of safety and accountability.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Manage and coordinate daily production schedules to meet output goals and quality standards.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering teamwork.
  • Ensure fiberglass products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards by enforcing quality control procedures and addressing defects promptly.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a safe work environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements, recommend changes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train new employees on production records, shift reports, and incident reports, and communicate key information to plant leadership.
  • Quickly identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and staffing challenges.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Experience in fiberglass is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to train and coach others to improve and grow.
  • Ability to collaborate with all plant personnel from production floor to senior leadership.
  • Strong accountability and follow-through skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and changing priorities.
  • Computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Office programs to keep track of administrative tasks including, report writing, production schedules, analysis of work orders, evaluations of product estimates and outputs.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to speak with groups of employees and address employees one-on-one. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to fiberglass, materials, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
