Job Summary: 

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations at our marine furniture manufacturing facility.  The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, woodworking, and sewing, along with strong leadership skills to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety on the production floor.  This role requires hands-on supervision, problem-solving, and coordination with multiple departments to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards for marine furniture products.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily production activities to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor workflow, material usage, and production schedules to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fabrication, assembly and finishing processes.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to quality standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Lead, train, and support production employees to maximize productivity and performance.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to discuss goals, safety procedures, and operational updates.
  • Address employee concerns, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Enforce workplace compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, quality concerns, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Work closely with engineering, purchasing, and warehouse teams to optimize material usage and workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production bottlenecks or technical issues as they arise.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision, preferably in marine furniture, woodworking, and sewing.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of marine-grade materials, furniture assembly techniques, and CNC machinery is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team coordination and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
