Geremarie, a Patrick Industries subsidiary, is a leading precision manufacturing company that offers innovative components to various industries. Geremarie Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the manufacturing industry. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Conduct variance analysis vs plan/forecast and provide insights on financial performance to management.
• Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage inventory accounts, ensuring accurate valuation and cost control
• Oversee and review fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Provide external auditors necessary detail to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Support tax compliance and reporting, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversight and reporting on the financials of multiple reporting units and product lines
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with exposure to inventory and cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels.
• A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities.
