Financial Analyst

Working closely with the Finance and Accounting teams, the Financial Analyst will prepare and present financial and operational analysis and reports to senior management and external stakeholders, monitor financial performance, identify trends and anomalies, and support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and deliver key insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
• Pull, consolidate, and analyze data from various sources.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Monitor financial performance and identify trends and anomalies.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Support the budgeting process by developing detailed financial forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Assist with financial planning activities and reporting requirements.

Process Improvement & Operational Support

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis efficiency.
• Identify and implement efficiency opportunities.
• Assist in process improvement projects.
• Drive special projects as needed within the team and with others outside of the immediate group.

Accounting, Controls & Audit Support

• Maintain cross-reference files and security.
• Assist in month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits throughout the year.
• Support financial controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the team and across all functional areas.
• Support management and stakeholders through financial reporting, analysis, and special projects.
• Communicate financial and operational insights in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Previous experience building dashboards using Power BI strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment; Global Shop ERP experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to assimilate data and convey both strategic and tactical messaging in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of prioritizing multiple projects under tight deadlines and working independently with limited oversight.
