Indiana Transport, a division of Patrick Industries, is currently hiring an energetic Dispatcher to join their growing team. As a Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for employees at Indiana Transport and External Customers to provide support as needed. The position is a fast-paced role with changing priorities throughout the day and will work closely with Departments throughout the facility to provide additional support as needed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to;

 

  • Act as a point of contact to candidates and build influential candidate relationships during the interview and selection process
  • Establish and develop solid working relations with hiring managers, recruiters, and drivers
  • Support internal Teams to maximize effectiveness of recruiting
  • Coordinate daily deliveries of RVs through consistent communication with drivers
  • Assign driver loads and plan routes for delivery
  • Track in transit loads
  • Speak with customers and supervisors to resolve problems and requests
  • Act as main point of contact for drivers, clients, and vendors
  • Track and maintain communication about driver performance
  • Keep an organized log for customer requests and inventory
  • General data entry
  • Answering a multiline phone system
  • Other miscellaneous office duties

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1+ years’ experience working in Customer Service, Purchasing or other distribution or manufacturing support preferred
  • Excellent telephone skills reflecting a positive, professional, customer focused attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills, possessing a sales aptitude and interested in preventing errors and solving problems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate potential problems in a professional manner
  • Ability to learn and embrace specific order management procedures and to follow instructions and policies related to order management
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
  • Strong accountability and follow-through skills
  • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
