North American Forest Products, a subsidiary of Patrick Industries, is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Engineering Supervisor with a strong background in automation systems and printing press operations.  This role requires a strategic leader who can supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, drive reliability and performance, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.  The ideal candidate will bring strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead technical teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance and engineering team across all shifts.
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of printing presses, automation systems, PLCS, and related production equipment.
• Drive and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, operations, and quality teams to align maintenance strategies and plant goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and technical development.
• Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, including equipment uptime, work order completion, and maintenance response times.
• Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and spare parts inventory to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or associates degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with printing press equipment.
• Familiarity with automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and controls.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and maintenance documentation.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodology experience desired.
• CMMS expertise.
• Background in manufacturing industries.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking
